Story

We are 3 Mums of premature babies born at 25, 27 and 29 weeks looking to raise money for Neomate’s a hospital ran support group for Mothers of premature/sick babies the nurses who run the weekly group do this on their days off.

All 3 of us have spent Month’s in NICU and SCBU and have travelled with our babies from several different hospitals throughout their journeys.
We find the support group really helpful as we get to meet other mums who have been through similar situations and we can relate to each other on another level.

We find going to group not only gets us out socialising but it helps us with our mental health and PTSD after one of the most traumatic times of our lives.

Given the current climate the NHS are having to budget spending and Neomate’s do not get any funding for equipment.

The money raised would go towards buying equipment for the group such as

Sensory lights
Sensory Tent
Bubble machine
Play-mats
Radio to play nursery rhymes
Craft supplies
Books
Blinds for windows

We think this is really important for development/motor skills.

Any extra money raised would be donated to the Nurses who run the group as a thank you for everything they do.

Without the group we would be lost as this is our weekly dose of therapy and our chance to keep in touch with the wonderful nurses who cared for our babies.

We would be grateful for every penny raised 💜
