In Loving Memory of Chloe
Our identical twin girls, Chloe and Isabel, were born on December the 11th 2011, they were extremely premature, a little over 26 weeks and weighed just 1lb 15oz and 1lb 12oz, we have no idea why they arrived so early. They were admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units in two separate hospitals due to a shortage of beds.
We are now raising as much money as possible for the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust, which supports the Neonatal Unit at Medway Hospital; this is where our daughter Chloe was cared for during her 12 days of life. Isabel joined her on Day 11 and stayed there until the 12th of January, when she was well enough to move out of Intensive Care.
Words cannot begin to express our eternal gratitude for the efforts of the fantastic team of Nurses & Doctors who did everything they could for our beautiful little girl to give her the best chance of survival, but sadly even the most expert and dedicated care could not save her and she lost her battle on the 23rd of December. The Trust raises funds for much needed equipment which helps save lives every single day; the cost of caring for a baby in one of these units is somewhere in the region of £3,500 per day.
Chloe's little sister, Isabel somehow managed against the odds to keep fighting - after a rollercoaster of a ride, including 7 ambulance journeys and 5 months in 5 different hospitals is now at home weighing a fantastic 9lbs aged 8 months!
Please give whatever you can to support the Trust- every single pound helps!
