Fundraising for Cheltenham Animal Shelter
Cheltenham Animal Shelter has recently been granted planning permission for a site redevelopment and we need to raise £100,000 to ensure that work can be completed in 2011. Can you help us raise these crucial redevelopment funds? You can make a one off donation via this page. We are grateful for any amount, no matter how small.
Alternatively, you may wish to organise an event to raise money for the redevelopment (skydive, sponsored walk/run etc). In which case, please use the following link to get started: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising-page/creation/?cid=187737&eid=517193&pcid=9ffa84dd-9d63-4933-8335-6074465410e1
We have had the busiest year on record since the Shelter was established in the 1930’s - we have never seen so many unwanted and abandoned animals come through our doors. And the situation seems to be escalating.
The redevelopment includes the construction of a designated re-homing area to make the re-homing process more efficient and allow the animals to spend less time at the Shelter.
The redevelopment will also allow us to expand our successful shop, which generates us a respectable amount of money and helps us cover charity running costs.
The redevelopment will also help youngsters who are deemed to be ‘at risk’ or have been excluded from mainstream education, as a new educational room is also being included. We run a unique four week project called HALT - Humans and Animals Learning Together - during which the youngsters learn compassion, respect and responsibility for animals. By giving to our appeal, you’ll be helping them too.
A big thank you to all of our supporters and volunteers. We couldn't do it without you!
