Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
In February 2016, my Father was diagnosed with an inoperable Brain Tumour and was made aware of the ghastly statistics. With no cure, this tumour will continue to grow until it eventually takes his life.
February 2021 marked 5 years since my Dad's diagnosis. This is no small feat due to there being only a 22% chance of reaching 5 years post diagnosis and is a credit to his determination to beat this disease.
I am committed to raising much needed funds to find a cure.
- In 2021, approximately 1,879 people were diagnosed with a Brain Tumour, from that, 1,518 DID NOT SURVIVE.

- Brain cancer has the highest total burden of disease for adolescents and young adults in Australia, with an estimated cost of $1.7m per person
- There is a 22% survival rate of up to 5 years
- Brain Cancer receives less than 5% of funding despite having the highest mortality rate of any Cancer
