I will be doing my spin on David Goggins’s 4x4x48 Challenge
My Challenge will be to Cycle
10 miles x Every 4 hours x For 48 hours
Last Year when COVID hit, I packed what I could in my car and travelled home from London before the first National Lockdown.
After several weeks of trying to figure out what I could do to help out the situation, an opportunity came to cook meals for NHS staff at Derriford Hospital and Ambulance Station. Over the course of about 6 weeks, myself and my team of volunteer chefs cooked and delivered over 2000 meals to the Station.
From that point created a deep connection with the brilliant staff we were cooking for.
Soooooooooo this year, as my homage to them, and my homage to just how absolutely brilliant they are,, I wanted to dedicate my next 12 months of fundraising to a charity that looks after the very people who look after us.
If you could find it in your hearts to donate anything, anything at all, it really will mean the world to me.
These guys are my guys, the very guys I cooked for last year, the very guys I conversed with every day when I would drop meals off to them, I know the faces and names of the people I will be raising money for, and that will be my burning fuel through whatever challenges I do.
The South Western Ambulance Charity aims to improve the welfare of the staff and volunteers of the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
