The main event is a killi climb.  The date is wrong but we had to click an event to allow us to start fundraising.  We will be climbing in Feb 2023!

As we are aiming for such a big target members of the group will be taking part in smaller events along the way, to encourage people to give. These will be detailed in this space

4x4x52

Gav took part in the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge.. But adapting it slightly.  From 08.00hrs March 4th 2022, he  ran 4 miles every 4 hours for 52 hours.  This amounted to 13 x 4 miles runs in just over two days and a total of two full marathons in distance.  It may sound easy but the combo of no sleep and little recovery time really took its toll. Please support by donating if you can.  Each leg started out at the corner of Madingley and Grange Road at 0800, 12.00, 16.00, 20.00 and 00.00.  Moral support was massively appreciated with friends from Cambridge Uni  joining for a four mile leg and Gav only having to run the 4ams alone!

The David Goggins challenge was also completed for our fundraiser in 2021 by Joe Dilling, Callum Abraham, and James Flynn. Callum’s grandma also held a sale of some incredible looking cakes to add to our total!

Gav took part in the London Marathon 2021 on  Oct 3rd, coming in with a time of 3:52

Dean Luke Booth has held a number of events at The 8 Bells Failsworth (Manchester) including an auction of a signed Man Utd shirt and raising a total so far of over £1,200

Chad Owen has completed various running fundraisers toward our target, with sponsors giving directly to this page. Justgiving recently reintroduced teams which will make it much easier for members of the group to set up their own events toward our target, using their own JG page, but with their totals automatically being added toward our target!

Nicholas Webster donated several items of bespoke jewellery for online raffles and auctions raising ££ for the cause whilst providing the lads with stunning cufflinks for themselves and rings and necklaces as gifts for family and friends

We have held 2 Annual Charity Dinners at St John’s College, Cambridge  with key note speakers ranging from Woody Cook to Robin Horsfall. Members also gave incredibly moving speeches, with Joe Dilling’s talk in identity, confidence and his stammer leading to several pod cast appearances. Our piper was provided with fees very kindly waived in year one in the form of Tpr Boyd RDG, and in year two by Trinity College Deputy Head Porter and former Blackwatch Soldier Roy Sloane. We were also brilliantly entertained without charge by Os Surdinhos samba Drummers lead by Eve Machin.  Both dinners were brilliantly executed by the catering staff raised around £2,000 toward our target

My best mate Charlie and I set up a group to support young men who might find it difficult to ask for help during the first covid 19 lockdown.  We now sit at nearly 5k members and have been massively moved by the way members have supported each other and answered every single call for help without judgement

We wanted to do something on behalf of the group to raise money for a suicide prevention charity.

Gav will be running the London marathon 2021, and then - once we hit our target Gav and Charlie will climb the highest peak in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro.

Several other lads on the group have done challenges ranging from running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48hrs, to collaborating with family members on cake sales.  We appreciate every single one of those lads, and every single one of you who is able to donate and/or support us

Thank you!
