Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
Poole Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) I owe you more than words could express for the treatment, time and devotion dedicated to us in an hours of need! I will never be able to thank you enough for what you have done, for not only Noah but myself, Gary, Tiya and our families! I only hope my fundraising efforts and a 10,000 foot Skydive shows a small measure of our appreciation!
In order for me to take part on the 2nd of November I need to raise £175 to cover the cost for the skydive, and a minimum of £225 in sponsorship/donations For Poole Nicu-Bliss!
This is where I shall call upon my family and friends to sponsor me, and with it being such a good cause, hope to attain some other kind sponsors ;) ;)
I’m currently working on several Fund Raising ideas
An auction (Pending help from local business for Prizes)
Cake sales (During Drop off and Pick Up from School, Also Charity shops)
Ladies Night
Car boot including Prem coloured loom bands (Accepting Donations too)
Help from the Media
But if any one has any ideas for quick fundraising then please do shout! Having a month to achieve this will be a challenge, so any help gratefully appreciated!!
Noah Robert Michael O’Connell -Davidson
Noah was born spontaneously on Friday 20th June at just 33 weeks, weighing just 3lb 14oz. Noah was admitted to Poole Nicu immediately with RDS, Jaundice, Thrombocytopaenia, Gn Septicima Proteus Septicaemia and Hypernatraemia.
Throughout Noah’s stay in NICU it felt like a rollercoaster of emotions, Little things that most new parents cherish seemed a long distance away, a cuddle, a kiss, or just being able to hold our beautiful son. The lack of control and watching your tiny baby struggle, while being helpless to bring him any comfort is indescribable, but the staff in the unit are always there for you. They have a passion for children and more tricks than Harry Potter to make any child comfortable. Their knowledge and patience with parents is what makes them special.
Noah endured many tests, tried different treatments, and pharmaceutical concoctions. After a few weeks he was soon well to our relief. He established feeding, gained weight and we were allowed home 23 days later! It was such a relief to finally bring Noah home to the comfort and safety of his family! The next few days were extra special, as family for the first time were allowed to hold him, and our daughter could finally cuddle her little brother. No matter how much we wanted Noah home, it was a strange feeling leaving the almost “comfort” of Nicu. That’s testament to the staff.
Noah is now 15 weeks old (8 weeks corrected) and a fabulous 9lb 1oz and going on strong…..Premmie Power!!
