Thanks for taking part in the Charity Christmas Singalong!
The ticket and bar proceeds will all go to the Eve Appeal's work. However, this is the place if you are moved to make a further donation.
For a young woman of 30, a diagnosis of Mucinous Ovarian Cancer often means a complete loss of fertility to give her the best chance of survival. Even then, the stats are terrifying. Overall, 1 in 50 women in the UK will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in their lifetime and it’s known as one of the deadliest cancers; the 5-year survival is only 43%, and there's a 70% chance of recurrence.
More terrifying is that rarer cancer types have historically not been the subject of research. But in more positive news, there are lots of things that could be investigated and which have a good chance of being helpful. Research funding could make a big difference.
Thank you x
