Story
I'm helping WORLDwrite fundraise to make a film on the history of solidarity in the UK. Making a feature-length documentary is a seriously costly business and at WORLDwrite we are running on empty, so this crazy challenge at my age I'm hoping will pull some serious cash. I do hope to do over 600 miles in 48 hours and make it to Lands End. I'd be seriously thrilled if you'd sponsor me on my page here.
More on the film - Inspired by WORLDwrite's young crews filming solidarity messages for Ukraine, this film will bring to light the inspiring tales of men and women over the past 160 years who took it upon themselves to fight for a cause greater than their own. The Lancashire weavers in the 1860s who refused to touch the cotton from American slave plantations, men who supported the fight for women's rights, the townspeople supporting black American GI's stationed in Bamber in 1943 & gay men supporting the 1984 miner's strike are just a few examples of many we hope to cover.
Please dig deep and do the deed-your donation would be brilliant!
Thank you.
