Story
It's been almost 3 years since I braved my first ever hair donation. Back then I'd quietly hoped to be able to do it one more time, before too many greys excluded me from the rules, so the one silver lining of not actually being able to leave the house for a haircut in 16 long months (and counting...) means my hair has almost grown enough to be in a position to take a deep breath & do it again!! The Little Princess Trust specifically struggles to get hair donations of 16" or more, so that's the aim - eeeek!!
In addition to donating the hair itself, I would love to use this opportunity to raise some funds for Revive MS, and would be enormously grateful for any donations to help me support this important charity.
Over 10,000 people live in Scotland with MS (1 in 500), which is the highest prevalence of any country in the world. You almost certainly know at least one person who has it, probably more.
Revive MS is Scotland's leading provider of support to people living with MS, and their families. It operates in a bespoke centre in Govan, providing multiple forms of clinical therapy and support under one roof. In recent years, the charity has seen a dramatic rise in the number of people accessing their services, which include MS Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Counselling, Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Podiatry
and Continence Advice. They also run MS specific Physiotherapist-led Exercise classes, Fatigue Management Courses, Improving Breathing groups, Meditation groups and sessions on Caring for Those Who Care.
As a registered charity, Revive MS is dependent on donations to develop services & fund the ongoing invaluable work that takes place at the centre. Unfortunately this seemingly never-ending Pandemic has hugely affected their ability to fundraise, so I am dearly hoping we can all do our little bit to help today.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
