Caton St Paul’s C of E Primary School in Brookhouse, near Lancaster, is joining with Unique Kidz and Co to kick off a new partnership. The school has launched a campaign to raise money for the local disabled children’s charity starting with a team of 15 staff, parents and friends of the school who will complete a 100 mile cycle challenge in the local area on Friday 11 July. The team of 15 cyclists, led by Head teacher Karen Price, will start their cycle challenge at 6.00am from the school and will take in Carnforth, Morecambe, Lancaster, Garstang and Broughton along the route.
Head teacher Karen Price says: “Our aim is to develop a partnership with Unique Kidz and Co to share ideas and themes and best practice in both our after school clubs. We believe it’s very important that the children at St Paul’s develop an understanding of life for children outside of their own school to broaden their horizons and build their understanding of differences. We truly admire the work the charity does and want to support it in any way we can and that’s why the school is planning to fundraise for Unique Kidz and Co on an on-going basis.”
Denise Armer, Co-Founder of Unique Kidz and Co says: “We wish everyone taking part in the ‘100 miles for 100s of smiles’ challenge the very best of luck and thank everyone involved. We are looking forward to building a partnership with the school which will benefit both our after school clubs in the future.”
