Story

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following my UK 70.3 I qualified for the Worlds in Canada Sunday 7th September and would like to continue to raise funds and keep my page open until after this event.

Most event websites have a FAQ section and for any Ironman event the most frequently asked question must surely be 'Why on earth did you enter'? When the half Ironman consists of a 1.9km swim, 90k cycle and 21km run to be completed in 8.5 hours this is a fair question. In miles the total is 70.3 hence the title which some say sounds much tougher than half! Wimbleball is the first and rumoured to be the hardest of the series renowned for its particularly tough cycle course on Exmoor. I have entered in an attempt to push my boundaries as you never know in life when your situation may change. Having support for that situation can be a great source of help and comfort at a challenging time and if by attempting this event I can further raise awareness and funding for this very worthwhile organisation then hopefully they will be able to continue to provide wonderful support in the way that they did for my Dad and our family. With the ultimate aim being to find a cure for this devastating condition.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.
