Story
Our first responders face so many dangers every day they go out to serve our communities. Sometimes we forget that these are people who don't know if they will come home from work each day. I ask you to support The 100 Club of Central Texas because they make a difference in the lives of our local heroes. Just seeing the decal on cars reminds first responders that people appreciate all that they do for us and want to ensure someone is there to support their families even when they can't. Please join me in supporting The Club with a donation today. Become a member today and receive special thank you gifts in addition to your decals, including limited edition decals for your car, boat, bike, scooter, or any other form of transportation you choose; koozies; custom YETI Ramblers; or even a 35-qt YETI hard cooler!
CHALLENGE TO GIVE: I have set a goal to raise $5,000; if half that goal is reached by October14th, I will plan on delivering yummy treats to selected First Responders in our service area; however, if the goal of $5,000 is met on or before October 28th (National First Responders Day), I will deliver those treats while dressed in my Supergirl Costume (yes, it has a cape!)
This organization is near-and-dear to my heart. I met the folks at the 100 Club of Central Texas in 2017 when our son was shot in the line of duty. He introduced me to them because they so quickly responded after his injury and were extremely supportive of him and his family. He understands that I am dedicated to serving those who serve others and told me this would be an organization worthy of support. I began volunteering for the Club and in January, 2019 I was asked to join the Board. I have seen first hand what the 100 Club of Central Texas does to support First Responders and their families and I am proud to be a part of such a fine organization.
Donations do not go to 'fluff'; they go to support First Responders.
So far this year, The Club has honored the lives of three fallen First Responders: Christopher Korzilius, Travis County SO (EOW: 3/18/20); Justin Putnam, San Marcos PD (EOW: 4/18/20); and, John Rhoden, Bell County SO (EOW: 4/26/20).
This year, The Club has stood with families of four First Responders critically injured in the line of duty: Paul Beller, Franco Stewart, and Justin Mueller with San Marcos PD; and, Nicholas Anderson with Cedar Park PD.
We have provided $95,000 in immediate support after a line of duty incident.
Our scholarship program provided more than $30,000 in scholarships to active-duty first responders continuing their education and to the children of fallen first responders graduation from High School. Many thanks to Altrua HealthShare for donating the additional funds to make this possible.
We have provided more in support this year than we have since 2001.
It is with your support that we are best able to serve those whose serve us! ~ Thank you!
