I am turning 50 this November, ( I know, right?). Having cancer at a young age, I realise how lucky I am. I have lost some family and close friends to the disease. I wish that there was something I could have done to have them here, to help me celebrate. So, I would like donations to my favourite charity instead of gifts for my birthday. I work with the lovely and caring volunteers at the LJMC. They offer, patients and their families, support throughout their cancer treatment and beyond. I have seen just how much it means to the patients to have somewhere they can go for a cup of tea and a chat, counselling, financial advice, complimentary therapies and any advice on cancer. It is a vital support to the radiotherapy department, where I work. Simply a great asset to our team! Thank you for your support.
