Story
This Easter 2016 the Cassley-Doak family accompanied by extended family and friends will be attempting to climb Mount Snowdon to raise money and awareness for the Cavernoma Alliance.
In 2003, life changed forever as the effects of my first Cavernoma caused significant challenges to my every day life. Since then, I have experienced over 30 brain haemorrhages and lost over 50% of my motor and sensory functions to the left side of my body.
13 years on and now facing multiple Cavernomas, I am hoping to complete this challenge with my wife, Dawn and 2 children, Liam, age 12 and Violet, age 7, raising money for all those affected by this rare brain condition.
It has been through the Cavernoma Alliance and the important work that they do that I have been able to come to terms with my condition, to understand it more fully and to have the opportunity to meet some of the finest neurosurgeons in this field. It is because of Cavernoma Alliance that I am receiving the right medical care from the right medical professionals to date.
Hopefully we will all make it to the top!
Please donate generously to this small but significant charity.
Many thanks in advance.........
Colin Doak
