Chopping off the luscious locks · 7 November 2015

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

I have never had short hair. I am very precious about my hair. It is a part of what makes me, me.

So, if I had cancer and lost it, it would be an additional blow to an already awful situation.

I am fine. My hair will grow back. I am lucky. Cancer is brutal. It takes everything away from you. So I'm doing whatever I can, in whatever capacity I can, to make a difference.

This time round, it's in the simple act of donating my hair to be made into a wig for a cancer patient.

It takes 5 hair donations to make a single wig and roughly £350 to buy one. The Little Princess Trust makes this possible for many.

So, if you should feel inspired to donate or sponsor me, please do. If you really want to relish in my emotional turmoil...I'll be in Blakes hair salon, Canterbury, at 1200.

...there will be photos!

Thanks for all the support ❤️
