Story
During 2019 I will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge which involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales throughout the course of the year. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) with a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft). I decided to plan this challenge independently to ensure all funds raised go directly to my chosen charity Sandwell Visually Impaired (SVI).
SVI is a user led service supporting blind and visually impaired people living and working within Sandwell. The service which SVI provides is outstanding and utterly invaluable within the community. I have witnessed first hand the care and support provided through SVI despite the lack of substantial funding. This is an incredibly close knit organisation who operate as a family ensuring their beloved members along with their families and carers are supported in any means possible. Their services include social activities, multiple health & well-being programs along with the provision of advice, education and information to enable increased independence and life opportunities.
Thank you for taking the time to read my fundraiser, I would be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship you are able to make to support this challenge in aid of this remarkable charity.
with many thanks,
Cassie x
