Story
In November 2021 Paws Rescue Qatar received heartbreaking news that they had been given an eviction notice to leave their beloved shelter by end of January 2022. Paws Rescue Qatar was started 8 years ago by my sister and her co-founding partner. Since then they have rehomed thousands of animals all over the world, one of which is my Labrador Sidney. There are currently 250 dogs and cats in the care of Paws Qatar, the team are working tirelessly to relocate these animals and find new homes, fosters and possible new shelter space.
Like many other dogs and cats that find themselves on the streets of Qatar Sidney may not have had the happy ending with us if it had not been for Paws taking him into their care alongside his mum and brother. The fate of animals living on the streets of Qatar is never good due to the extreme heat and abuse that these animals face on a daily basis. Without charities like Paws taking these animals into their care many do not survive long living in those conditions.
We would therefore like to give something back and to help other dogs and cats find their forever homes too, particularly during this challenging time for the shelter. Over the next 30 days (starting 15/11/21) the dogs and I will cover 60 miles in support of Paws with me running as much of the 60 miles as I can! Please donate if you can so that we can help fund more happily ever after stories! Thank you from Sidney, Teddy and Cassie :)
