Story
Fourth grade is a vital year for students. This is the year when they make the transition from learning to read to reading to learn in subjects like history, science and math. Even before the emergence of COVID-19, 36% of 4th graders nationwide read below grade level. It has been shown that students who cannot read at grade level by 4th grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. With the return of in-person academics at Jack & Jill Center, it is vital that our children have the tools they need for a successful school year as they set a strong academic foundation for years to come.
Through innovative education, family support services and community engagement, Jack & Jill helps CHANGE THE ODDS for children and families in our community. They provide all children and families, regardless of income, with the tools they need to reach their full potential.
Our goal is to raise $7,500 for scholarships and other essential items needed for students to come back to school both safely and effectively.
Your support would truly mean the world to us!
