We fundraise to enable young people to become International Volunteers

Story

Project trust offer teaching and social care placements in many different countries, I have been offered one of these placements and  will hopefully be volunteering in Malawi for 12 months. I am really looking forward to the opportunity to help people who need it, and the chance for self development. However I can't get there without your help. I understand that times are tough but if you are able to donate any money it would be highly appreciated. You can also help me out by supporting any of the fundraising events I will be doing in the following months, or sharing this JustGiving page. I would also love to hear any fundraising ideas anyone may have.

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.)

Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement
