Story

18 months ago my Mum lost her short battle with cancer and currently my brother fights every day. I have many friends who have lost loved ones to this awful disease as well.

So, in memory of my Mum and all those who have lost their battle, and in support of my brother and all those still fightingI will be dying my hair Purple (Mum's favorite colour) on Thursday 10th March 2016 as part of Today FM's Shave, Dye, Oh My Campaign.

I chose the date as it is between Mother's Day and Daffodil Day, for which my Mum was very involved with every year.

I would like to thank the girls in Rhona's Hair Salon, Dalkey, Co Dublin, for taking on the task of turning my hair purple!

I want to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society so they can continue to help and support people affected by cancer in their Daffodil Centres around the country.
