Story
Thanks for visiting my page, I'm taking part in Stoptober this year to raise as much money as I can for Brain Tumour Research after losing my best friend Darel to a brain tumour last year.
Darel was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme an extremely aggressive brain tumour in 2014, when he was just 33 years old. Darel bravely fought this cruel disease for 15 months but sadly lost his battle February 26th 2016. Darel was a gentle and kind soul who made an impression on anyone he met and touched everyone's hearts. His bravery throughout his diagnosis was awe inspiring and his sense of humour and beautiful smile never wavered.
Darel's partner Natalie has set up 'The Darel Bryan Foundation' in honour of Darel, so we can carry on fighting. With your help we would love to raise more awareness for brain tumours and to fund much needed research. So not only we can gain a better understanding to what the causes of brain tumours are, but to have better treatment options available for future patients. Hopefully one day there can be a better outcome for those diagnosed with this devastating disease.
The Darel Bryan Foundation is an umbrella group under Brain Tumour Research who we are very proud to work with. They have several dedicated research centres throughout the UK, where vital research is happening. It costs £1 million per year to run one of these centres.
