I have volunteered for the Newman Holiday Trust for the last 7 years and and have seen first hand the amazing work the charity does. They provide a weeks holiday for disadvantaged and disabled children which not only supports the children to develop as individuals but also provides a much needed weeks respite for their families. 

I could tell you a thousand stories from the holidays from very small things like a child being brave enough to go down a slide to a child who spends the majority of his time in a wheelchair refusing to sit down in order to take part in the activities. The change that can be seen in these children over the week is breathtaking and keeps me coming back every year 

A team of 12 cardiologists from across the UK will be taking on La Marmotte to raise money for this incredibly deserving charity.  La Marmotte is a gruelling 174km bike race with a staggering 5000m of ascent (3.5x Ben Nevis), 

It costs £500 per child to take them on a life-changing weeks holiday. We have set ourselves the goal of sending 10 children on holiday this year, and we need your help to do it
