The Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr Bob Derbyshire has challenged himself to a 2-mile swim in his local pool on Monday 8th January 2018.

This will be his opportunity to get rid of some of the Christmas excess as well as raising money for the Lord Mayor's chosen charities RSPB Cymru and Buglife Cymru.

Many animals and insects find this time of year very tough and rely more and more on people putting out food and shelter in their gardens. Many of our favourites like the butterflies, hedgehogs and garden birds are declining at an alarming rate.
