Story
As some of you may know, I competed in the London Triathlon last year to raise money for Harrogate Cardiac Nurses to give something back for the amazing care they offered to my dad after his previous heart attack.
Dad was recovering well from the major surgery he underwent and things were progressing very well.
On the 2nd of October 2014, we got the absolutely devastating news, dad had a huge heart attack at home and unfortunately passed away. Obviously this came as a huge shock to everyone who knew the man, the legend. Over 300 people attended his funeral which was amazing to say the least.
So, this year, along with Nick McConnell, Trevor Waterman, Shaun Hudson & Andy Hughes we are not only going to complete the triathlon. But also a number of other events, which include; London to Brighton cycle ride, the London Triathlon, London Survival of the Fittest and my very first half marathon!
A very busy year to remember a very special person in many people's lives.
So PLEASE dig deep and donate whatever you can to the amazing team at Harrogate Cardiac Nurses and let's smash our target again like we did last year.
