We are Capella Events, an up and coming events company in the North East made up of 6 Northumbria University students.

As part of one of our University modules we are putting on an event to raise money for a charity of our choice. We have chosen to do a netball tournament for women in the North East who lead a busy lifestyle and therefore are currently not involved with netball, and some not involved with sport at all. We have decided to raise money for The Chronicle Sunshine Fund due to the incredible work they do for children. 

They are a North East based charity that enhances the lives of local children with disabilities by funding equipment to meet their specialist needs. They support babies, children and young adults up until their 19th birthday by funding equipment such as specialist beds, wheelchairs, trikes, IT and sensory equipment that are not available through the NHS, local authorities or any other sources.

After one of our team members completed their placement with the charity, we have seen first hand the amazing work that they do and how important it is that they get the support they need and deserve. Any donations, big or small, will go such a long way in supporting the charity to continue with the necessary work that they do.
