Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may know, in October last year my father contracted Leptospirosis and very sadly passed away.
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection and is relatively rare in the UK but is caught from contact with dirty water.
Dad was an Olympic gold medalist rower and spent a huge part of his life on the water.
I have decided to run the Asics 10k in his honour and donate the proceeds to WaterAid, a charity that aims to work towards better sanitation and clean water for people around the world.
Currently over 884 million people in the world do not have access to safe water.
One child dies every twenty seconds from the effects of dirty water, thats roughly 4,000 children a day.
Any donation you can give will make a huge difference so please give whatever you can.
(In case you are wondering, I hate running JUST as much as Dad did!!)
