Story

In memory of our beloved Camilla Clark (nee Wild) we’re raising funds for the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre

Leukaemia took the life of Cami, aged 32, on 25th February 2023. For fifteen months she was in the care of the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.

Since her diagnosis in December 2021, Cami remained fiercely strong, positive, cheerful, and pragmatic, as only Cami could. It was Cami who kept everyone’s spirits up. It was Cami who considered all the practical implications, and it was Cami who found the funny side of life, often when all around her were sinking.

We will cherish the memories and treasure her love and support. So many people, touched by Cami. We all have our own memories. The holidays with family and friends; the school years; university and the special friendships forged during that time; Cami’s valuable contribution to the family business and the Clark family into which Cami married in late September 2022.

We miss you Cami. Our hearts ache. What do we do? Well, we know you’d want us to help others who will go through the door of the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, just as you did on 6th December 2021. Cami and Ian, parents Diana and Adrian, and all the family were so grateful for the tireless care and support of the consultants, doctors, nurses, supporting staff and volunteers. This page is a small demonstration of our appreciation.

So, we thank you for joining us in recognising the work of the Centre. Donations to this page will benefit the ‘Friends of Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre’ charity. It’s non-funded, so entirely dependent on donations and fund-raising. All monies go towards supporting the patients, visitors and staff of Bristol’s leading cancer specialist centre.  The funds raised go on medical equipment and treatment, research and staff training, everything that the Centre could not otherwise afford.

Thanks to everyone for being there for us all. Thank you for thinking of our fabulous Cami.
