Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong health & wellbeing support for the UK fire & rescue community, empowering individuals and families to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. This includes serving and retired firefighters, control and support teams.

Story

I want to raise money for the Fire-fighters charity because they have helped my Grandma Linda with her recovery after major Neurosurgery. I went to visit her during her rehabilitation at Jubilee House, Penrith  and it was such a special place that I wanted to do something to help. My Granddad Bill is a retired Fire-fighter and we all know how lucky they are to have the support of the charity.

As swimming is my favourite sport I picked the Great North Swim as my fundraising event. The challenge is that I have to swim in lake Windermere and not in a nice warm pool!

My Dad, David is doing the swim with me and is currently training hard to try and keep up with me!
