Story
As many of you know, Archie, my little son has autism. This is how my wife, Wendy, and myself came into contact with the National Autistic Society. In this country we dont have a one stop shop for disability. You would think we would with David Cameron and Gordon Brown both having/had children with disabilities. The bottom line is if you have a child with a disability it is a nightmare to get what is best for your child. This is where the NAS comes in. They advise, guide and support you and your child from first contact after diagnosis right upto employment and later life. They, like most charities are desperate for money. There are a staggering 500,000 people who have been diagnosed with autism in the UK. It is an epidemic. They need money to carry on the good work they do. Please visit their website for further details. I know that we as a family will be needing their help in the future more than we have so far and that is why I feel duty bound to get off my rear end and help them out.
Firstly, I am running the London Marathon on 25 April and have my own place. COMPLETED 2:58
Secondly, I am cycling in L'Etape de Tour de France (174km) from pau to the Col de Tourmalet on 18th July. I have to raise a significant ammount of money for this opportunity BUT I am paying my contribution so any money you donate WILL be going to the NAS not allowing me the privelige of torturing myself!
Please give what you can, please be sensible if you cannot.
Please donate on my other event site for the Etape: www.justgiving.com/Cameron-Campbell
Thank you Cameron and Archie as well as the rest of the pit crew.
