Story
My name is Callum Flynn and I am 18 years old. On my 14th birthday I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of Bone Cancer in my right knee. I went through chemotherapy and a major operation which has left me with a titanium knee. I didn't let this stop me from reaching my dream of playing cricket for England as I now represent England Physical Disability Cricket Team. I have also carried the Olympic Torch, been named Britains Kindest Kid and I helped Bone Cancer secure the drug, mepact. Behind all this I have raised several thousand £ for Bone Cancer Research Trust and I hope to add to this with my annual charity cricket match.
I am hosting this event on the 16th of August at Swinton Moorside Cricket Club. (Lancashire, Swinton, Deansway, M27 0WH)
The event will consist of a 20 over a side cricket match with several professional cricketers competing. There will also be night time entertainment with a raffle/auction and a disco.
If you can't make the event but would like to donate please do. Every little donation goes a long way into searching for new cures.
