Every year the congregation give most generously to the retiring collection at our Carol Service which formally celebrates the Nativity of Our Lord. One is very conscious that our friends at Slough Homeless Our Concern missed out on our charitable giving at harvest time and so I have chosen them to receive our offerings this year. This wonderful charity is the only homeless provision in the area. They not only supply food and clothing, but also education and healthcare. As an organisation they are always frightfully busy, but the current pandemic has further stretched them as we see the number of people seeking help increase. One would whole-heartedly encourage you to try to give generously to them at this time of year.
