Story

In September last year my Nana was on holiday in the lake distract. When walking on a path to Aira Force  she slipped and fell down a 50 foot ravine. Thanks to the quick actions of a former mountain rescuer (who went down to help), and the Patterdale Mountain Rescue team (who were quick on the scene) my Nana  was saved. She had seriously hurt her leg (that later was likened to a hard boiled egg that had been crushed), and needed quick and immediate attention. They managed to stop the bleeding and stop her from going into shock. They managed to lift her from the ravine and get quickly stabilised her as well. She was then rushed to hospital in an air ambulance.

Thanks to the quick actions of those trained and part of the Patterdale Mountain Rescue I still have my Nana and am forever grateful to the team who saved her. So I have decided to raise money so that they can continue to save other people. People who are loved and cared for by others.
