Story
Thank you for visiting our team's Champions of the Flyway fundraising page.
Champions of the Flyway is a major new international bird race that is being staged in Eilat, Israel – home of one of the world’s most desirable birding destinations and famous migration spectacles.
Next Generation Birders is one of several international bird racing teams attempting to find, identify and log as many species as possible as they go head to head with other crack teams in an intense 24 hour contest to win the coveted title 'Champions of the Flyway'.
While the racing will be light-hearted, our goal is serious - to raise conservation funding that will help the BirdLife International Partnership tackle the illegal killing of birds in Cyprus.
Our team members are: James Shergold, Tim Jones, Andrew Kinghorn and Matthew Bruce. we are proud to take part and want to see the next generation take up the gauntlet and fight to save species and habitats before it is too late. We hope that our participation will help draw other young people's attention to the plight of migratory species and what can be done to save them.
Please support us by making a donation now and help BirdLife Cyprus protect threatened migrating birds against illegal trapping and killing.
If you'd like to stay in touch with all the action please remember to add your email when you donate so BirdLife International can keep you updated on the race and the all-important conservation action we'll all be delivering with your help.
