We have been shocked and heartbroken by the news footage of Russia's attack on Ukraine and its civilians. Families are losing their homes and being torn apart by war.

The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has chosen to support the Red Cross' Ukraine appeal by inviting donations from members and the wider jewellery and watch industry in the UK and Ireland.

The British Red Cross has launched an emergency fundraising appeal to support the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross, the ICRC and other Red Cross and Red Crescent partners working in border countries. 

Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers are reaching as many people as possible, distributing 30,000 food and hygiene parcels so far, and helping evacuate people with disabilities. 

Teams have also provided first aid training to 1,000 people in metro stations and bomb shelters, and are supporting fire fighters, medical and civil protection units.
