Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for our son, CJ.  Most of you know the story so I won't get to in depth.  Our son was born 11 weeks premature at Memorial hospital on Oct 9th, 2015.  We had to have an emergency c-section that morning.  He only weighed 1# 6 oz .. he was so small his diapers could fit into the palm of our hands.  He was taken care of by the NICU staff at Memorial along with Dr. White.  After 3 days he finally passed on Oct 12th.  The doctors were never really sure what happened or why he stopped growing at 25 weeks (my c-section was at 29 weeks but they said he was only the size of a 25 week baby).  This year he would have been 6 years old!  Hard to believe... last year on his 5th birthday we decided we are going to do a celebration of life every year around his birthday.  Even though his time was short, he was here.  All proceeds go directly to Memorial Children's Hospital and all will be greatly appreciated.   We had to make another trip to Memorial in Aug 2021 for CJ's little sister. Sally had to have an endoscopy... (yeah she swallowed a key chain, ugh kids!) But the staff was wonderful and she got to keep the stuffed animal that was in her room.  That made me think that donating to the Children's Hospital would be a great idea, it would help all those other kids get the same service and perks that our sweet Sally got.
