10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

Story

In honour of my best friend who was diagnosed with Ataxia two years ago, I will do 30 miles for my 30th birthday to raise awareness and £3000 for the Ataxia foundation.  Join me on the 25th June in Cambridge to walk run or cheer and together find a cure for Ataxia.

Please donate here to help us reach our goal.  Thank you for your generosity and kindness.

Donations over £100 will earn you a favour from me which you can cash in any time.

Ataxia is the name given to a group of neurological disorders that affect balance, coordination, and speech.  Ataxia is progressive, meaning it gets worse with time, until people become entirely dependent on others for all their needs.  It is similar to multiple sclerosis.  We are supporting research and putting all our efforts in trying to get treatments or cures for the ataxias.
