Story
As many of our friends and family will know, we have been avid supporters of an INCREDIBLE local charity, Oscars Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity.
My very good friend, Marie, setup the charity alongside her husband Ian in 2014 when their 9 year old son, Oscar, passed due to this terrible disease.
Since this time, her husband Ian and their 5 year old son, Milo, have also passed due to the same illness.
You literally could not make it up.
Our family is very much intertwined with Marie as our son Lucas is best friends with her son (of the same name) and our daughter Riley, aged 5, had been best friends with Milo from the moment they were born.
We are always so inspired by the strength of Marie and her boys, and for this reason are always incredibly inspired to take on the HUGE fundraising challenges the charity organise to raise funds for medical research.
That being said, on Sunday 1 May 2022 the Family Challenge is going BIG as we (including little 5 year old Riley) attempt the UK’s tallest mountain – Ben Nevis in Scotland – and we need your help!
The treatments involved to fight brain tumours have devastating effects on a young body and mind. This is unacceptable and the only way to change this is by researching these cancers and find better treatments.
The charity aims to fund critical research into paediatric brain tumours with the hope to find a cure and less devastating treatments and works closely with other charities.
If you are willing, we would very much appreciate you support through sponsorship!
