Right now, across the world, millions of donkeys are being brutally slaughtered. Why? Because their skin can be sold to create traditional Chinese medicine and cosmetics.

This leaves a family without their treasured working animal and their means of earning a living, plunging them into deeper poverty.

So far 10 countries including Kenya, Senegal and Pakistan have already announced trade bans – if more world leaders took steps to end this animal cruelty, we could achieve a global ban.

Please help Brooke fund adverts in three of Tanzania’s main national newspapers on 16th June.

The adverts will highlight the contributions that donkeys make to rural livelihoods and call for the Tanzanian authorities to ban the donkey skin trade.

The three adverts will cost £5,000 and help us reach key decision makers, as they are deciding whether to renew the licenses on the donkey slaughter houses in Tanzania.
