Story

Animals working in the brick kilns of South Asia need your support.

The brick kiln industry in South Asia is vast. There are approximately 152,700 active kilns across the region. The working animals transport handmade bricks, carrying tonnes of them for use in the construction industry. It’s notoriously a hidden industry, often unorganised and unregulated, where working animals and people endure the harshest working conditions.

Your gift could help end the terrible suffering of working animals in brick kilns in South Asia where the conditions are appalling, leading to terrible diseases and injuries.

These animals suffer from poor husbandry, malnutrition and other serious health and welfare issues. Acute heat, no shade, water, or rest, as well as overloading, all lead to disease and injuries.

Your gift could help train local vets, farriers and saddle makers to ensure that working animals get the best care and equipment possible.

Today, you can help us get closer to our £20,000 target for Health Project.

Please donate to help heal the pain of working animals around the world.

If Health Project reaches its funding total or you give after 31st December 2022, your donation will be spent wherever the need is
greatest.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
