We were hoping to hold our Bridge Tournament in the church hall as in past years, but the dreaded Covid overshadows us again. So we shall repeat last year's highly successful online tournament from January 30th 2022, with one round to be played a week. This year we are also running a plate competition for those who are knocked out in the first round, thus guaranteeing everyone two games!
- Choose your partner and join as a pair. (We plan to recruit 64 pairs)
- Names will be drawn out of a hat on Sunday 30th January to decide the draw who plays who
- We recommend you play on Bridge Base Online but by mutual agreement you can play on Trickster or AT A REAL TABLE!
- Agree before start of play how many deals to play - 16 or fewer. The winning pair goes through to the next round.
- It’s Modern Chicago Bridge or Common Chicago by mutual agreement.
- We trust pairs in the same household not to cheat during the bidding or the play!
- The Semi-finals and the Final will be played on BBO with a Kibitzer and will be Modern Chicago ie with part scores carried forward.
There are PRIZES for winners and runners up and for outstanding slams and penalty scores! The prizes are kindly provided by our joint sponsors Finlay Brewer and the Sixsmith School of Bridge.
To sign up, please make a donation below - we suggest a minimum donation of £20 per head would be appreciated. Once registered, please email vickysixsmith@me.com with your and your partner's name and contact details.
We plan to complete one round per week, the first round being completed by Sunday 6th February. Please email vickysixsmith@me.com with your result by midnight on the Sunday.
