Cystic Fibrosis,

Is one of the uk's most common life-threatening inherited disease, which affects over 8,500 people in the uk, Cystic Fibrosis causes the body to produce thick secretions that lie's on the lungs. For a baby to be born with Cystic Fibrosis, both parents must be carriers of the faulty Cystic Fibrosis Gene. The cystic Fibrosis team do a amazing job raising money for many people around the world suffering from the illness. At present there is no cure for CF, but one of the objectives of the CF trust is to fund gene therapy research to change this, as well as other research and support for families affected by CF.

The reason I've decided with my boyfriend to raise money for this fantatics cause, is five years ago my nephew Isaac Molyneux was born with cystic fibrosis. 

The bike ride, 

I've now joined the team and arranged a 40 mile bike ride around The Cambridgeshire villages, the event will be starting at  Caldecote, Dry Drayton, Oakington, Histon, Impington, Milton, through the centre of Cambridge, Granchester, Barton,  Haslingfield, Harston, Melbourn, Meldreth, Whaddon, Wimpole and finishing in Orwell.
