It’s that time of year again !!

The sun comes out and we all shake of
the winter blues & smelly cardigans then head out for some springtime
frolics.

Along with the other great charitable events being undertaken by Briggs & Forrester Group, we at Briggs & Forrester Living are entering 6 teams in the Annual Go Karting Endurance Race at Buckmore Park, Kent. The teams will be made up from  Directors, staff, site teams and clients all coming out in force to support Down Syndrome Extra 21. This is our 5^th annual event and each year we raise even more money than the previous, however our driving skills show no improvement and in the case of some us, worse !!

Down Syndrome Extra 21 is an excellent charity promoting equal opportunities for people with Down syndrome and offer support to them and their families , promoting public awareness and to encouraging local support groups. http://www.extra21.org.uk/about-ds-extra-21/

As a registered charity Down Syndrome Extra 21 work tirelessly
to provide: 

·        Information days for professionals, parents, carers and people with Down syndrome

·        Information packs for hospitals, GPs, and
new parents

·        Education packs for mainstream and special
schools

·        Visits to local schools, hospitals and education authorities

·        Organising of social events to encourage families to meet up and share ideas

·        Support other local groups supporting people with Down syndrome

The Briggs & Forrester Living Karting teams are a dedicated bunch of petrol heads out for a great day for a great cause, and as always trying to raise a great deal of cash. Yes we love the fumes and the noise, but when you see what great things can be achieved by such a heartfelt charitable event, that is the main driver in our day (get it ! main driver...go karting… suit yourselves :) ) The teams may not be the fittest or youngest out there on the track, but we will certainly give it our best efforts to achieve as much support and donations as possible.
