Story

This May Bridgman & Bridgman will be taking on a new
challenge for charity: Benidorm or Bust! Six team members and friends of the company will embark on the famous car rally from Milton Keynes to Benidorm in Spain, to raise money for horticultural charity, Perennial.

Over five days the team will travel 1400 miles in their
£500-budget car through Rouen, Poitiers, Pau and Zaragoza, undertaking various mini challenges along the way. Complete with a “green” themed car and fancy dress costumes, the team hope to raise as much as they can for the only charity in the UK dedicated to helping everyone who works in horticulture, and their families, when times get tough.

The Rover and Out Team is lucky enough to be working with the KnitWits (Woolverton Wanderers Branch) who have spent the last month crocheting and knitting a truly magnificent car canopy of flowers, bees and woollen flora to make this journey one to remember. The collective, who work anonymously, will only be photographed in balaclavas (hand knitted) to protect their identities. The group work as yarn bombers and guerrilla knitters in their spare time, bringing colour and joy to the local area one stitch at a time.

One spokesperson from the group said “We're from a tight knit community - it’s an exciting journey with many adventures to unravel. We're really excited to see how our work will be enjoyed in France and Spain, only time wool tell”
