Story

Bridgend County is suffering like so many due to the Cost Of Living Crisis. Hard working families are struggling to make ends meet. Some are selling possessions, some are going without food so their children can eat and some just cant afford 3 meals a day. The sad reality is it is going to get worse with more and more people relying on foodbanks throughout the UK.

Here at Argos Bridgend Parc Plaza we want to make a difference during this current living crisis. We've teamed up with Foodbank Bridgend to help raise funds that will go along way in helping families within the Bridgend County not just now, but throughout Christmas.

The sad reality is more and more people are relying on foodbanks and demand is getting ever more increasing. At their 10 sites scattered around Bridgend County, some 2500 people rely on Foodbanks every week and that's a crazy reality.

Our aim is to raise £1000 over the next 4 weeks. We've set up this Justgiving page linked with Foodbank Bridgend. we're also volunteering our time and services to help at the Foodbank warehouse in Pyle during Harvest as well as at some of their 10 sites to help distribute food to families.

Small donations make a big difference so were not asking for much. The question I want to ask you is, How much would spend on a meal deal for your lunch? Would you be willing to sacrifice that meal to help a family in need? All we ask is, whatever you would spend for your lunch, donate between £1 & £5 to this amazing cause.

I cant stress how much of a difference you would make and with things set to get much much worse with energy prices and food prices rising, one day you may need the same help.

The Foodbank supports families and individuals facing crisis; benefit delays, redundancy, bereavement, job loss, homelessness, sickness, low income. We offer a warm friendly welcome. No one judges.
