I am taking on the Step into Christmas challenge for Rain Rescue, aiming to tackle 200,000 steps from December 1st to 24th! With each step I take, I’m not just moving closer to my goal; I’m also raising awareness and funds to support the incredible work we do for vulnerable animals. Founded in 2002, Rain Rescue has transformed the lives of thousands of cats and dogs at risk in and around Yorkshire. Each year, they rescue hundreds of animals, providing them with the safe haven they desperately need to recover, thrive, and ultimately find their forever homes. Rain Rescue see the beauty in every animal, even those hidden beneath layers of pain and neglect. Their mission focuses on the most vulnerable: the dogs in stray kennels facing imminent euthanasia after their brief statutory care period, and the abandoned cats left alone to fend for themselves on the streets. Every donation, no matter the size, helps them to provide food, medical care, and a safe environment for their rescues.
