For those of you who are not aware of The Connection at St Martin’s charity, they are based on St Martin-in-the-Fields, less than 5 mins walk from our One Strand office.  Every year they help thousands of people to move away from, and stay off, the streets of London.  They not only do this by tackling the underlying causes of rough sleeping but offering practical help to build sustainability. 

With your support this Christmas, we aim to raise £4,000 and Braemar will match this to double our donation!  Such a generous target could assist The Connection fully fund a variety of valuable initiatives:

£1,000 could support someone to leave the streets of the West End, by providing the vital care and support they need to overcome the barriers that are holding them back from living independently.

£2,000 could ensure someone’s mental health condition is finally recognised and supported, through our wellbeing activities and access to long term specialist support.

£5,000 could provide access to volunteering and employability sessions on our site as well as 1:1 intensive support, to build confidence, independence and connections in order to sustain a life away from the streets. 

We understand this has been a difficult time for everyone, but even more so for many charities in the UK such as The Connection, and those who have been impacted by homelessness as a result of the pandemic.  

We would ask that you can give what you can and help homelessness this Christmas.
