Y-CAP Champions

Y-CAP Champions Campaign · 6 October 2020
For 35 years, the YMCA Community Action Project (YCAP) has been helping at-risk students in Davidson County claim a brighter future. YCAP offers safe spaces with caring adults to provide academic, emotional, and spiritual support in the face of educational, economic and social disadvantage. Currently, YCAP works with over 800 underserved K-12 students from 101 schools and community sites at no charge, focusing on the greatest perceived needs by age group.
One of the more amazing achievements of YCAP is its college counselor program which fills in the gaps of limited Metro college counseling. In 2019, that counselor helped find over $700,000 of additional scholarship money for graduating seniors. That is more than a 10x return on the cost of the counselor. In 2021, we hope, with your support, to add a second college counselor.
I have donated to YCAP for almost 20 years because of the many great things it does for at-risk youth and currently have taken an active role on the Board. I would greatly appreciate you supporting YCAP with a financial gift which will provide an incredible investment in the future of some very worthy young people.
With much gratitude,
Brad Blevins
