Story
New Years Eve 2019 I decided to give up chocolate for a year. At the time it seemed like a BIG challenge, some folks thought I wouldn't last until the spring! The plan was to get to spring and then launch this fundraiser for Greenfingers over Easter 2020. However, other things in the world took priority and it didn't feel like such a big thing after all.
Now a year on I have gone through the whole of 2020 without chocolate... not even a sprinkle on a cappuccino. Whilst many others have completed far bigger challenges in this most challenging of years it feels like a missed opportunity to not give you a quick moment to support Greenfingers so I'd like to raise £366, a £1 for each day in the year. If you can donate a pound or two that would be wonderful, if you want to sponsor a whole month, even better - thank you.
Greenfingers, like many charities in recent times, have had fewer opportunities to raise much needed funds. The last event they staged was the 9th Garden Re-Leaf Day back in March '20. The magical gardens they continue to create at children's hospices up and down the UK are fantastic, full of complexity, intrigue, tranquility, fun and sanctuary for children, their family and carers.
Thank you to Mr Fothergills Seeds for the picture of the Chocolate Cosmos - maybe your donation will pay for chocolate to be planted in the garden!
