Story
Bourtons’ All Saints Church Bell Tower needs some important conservation work - including re roofing and repointing. The Friends of All Saints Church are trying to raise funds for this work and the Snowdrop Bank is one way of helping them.
We are planning to start a snowdrop bank on the eastern side of the Churchyard, from the steps round to the Old Swan.
We are inviting those with a connection to All Saints and/or the Bourtons to sponsor a clump of snowdrops, which will be planted “in the green” to aid establishment, in late February/early March, when we receive them from the grower.
Perhaps your sponsorship will be in memory of a loved one, or perhaps a tribute to someone.
Perhaps you were married or Christened in the church here and want to remember that occasion.
Or perhaps your family just wants to be part of the project and enjoy what will hopefully become a spectacular display of snowdrops each year. The more snowdrops we plant the more spectacular the snowdrop bank will be.
It is a lovely way to raise funds for the Bell Tower Conservation project and a lasting reminder of our community coming together to support to this worthwhile project.
Details of the donor(s) and notes on why the donation was made will be recorded in a book held by the Parish.
The snowdrops have been donated by someone living in the Bourtons, so everything you donate will go towards the Bell Tower Conservation Fund.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for supporting another lovely community event in the Bourtons!
